About the coffee
What types of coffee do you offer?
We select 100% Colombian specialty coffees, whole bean, from different regions and profiles. Each lot is intended for filter or espresso methods, as indicated on the product page.
Where does your coffee come from?
We work with producers and partners across different regions of Colombia. Every lot includes clear traceability: farm, producer, process, and variety. We don't use origin as decoration — we share it to build trust.
How do you roast your coffee?
We roast in small batches in Toronto, with profiles designed to highlight each coffee's terroir. We iterate on every roast curve before releasing a lot. We prefer to adjust carefully before promising consistency.
What information is included on each bag?
Each product shows region, farm, producer, species, process, variety, elevation, tasting notes, roast profile, and consumption recommendations. For us, transparency isn't marketing — it's part of the product.
How long can I keep my coffee?
We recommend enjoying it within 3 months of the roast date on the bag. Store it in an airtight container, away from light and heat, at room temperature.
Why do you sell whole bean only?
Whole bean preserves aroma and flavour better. Grinding just before brewing gives you the best experience at home. That's why we don't offer pre-ground coffee in our online store.
How much coffee do I need?
It depends on how many cups you drink daily and your brewing method. As a reference, a standard bag lasts several weeks for one or two people with moderate daily consumption.
Orders & shipping
Where do you ship?
We ship across Canada. Checkout is set up for Canadian addresses. If you're outside the country, contact us before placing an order.
How much does shipping cost?
Rates vary by zone: $5 CAD in Toronto/GTA, $12 CAD in Ontario (outside GTA), and $16 CAD across the rest of Canada. Orders of $66 CAD or more qualify for free shipping.
Do you offer local pickup?
Yes. You can choose free pickup at 255 Richmond Street East, Toronto, ON M5A 4T7, at checkout. We'll notify you when your order is ready.
When will my order ship?
We roast in small batches. Once your order is confirmed, we prepare and ship it within a reasonable timeframe after roasting. Exact timing may vary depending on lot availability.
How do I track my order?
You'll receive a confirmation email when you purchase and another with tracking information when we dispatch your order.
Can I modify or cancel my order?
Contact us as soon as possible at hello@poesiamestizacoffee.com with your order number. We'll do our best to help before your order enters preparation.
What if my package arrives damaged?
Contact us immediately with your order number and a photo of the damage. If a bag seal broke or the contents were affected, we'll work with you to replace the product.
Do you ship outside Canada?
We don't currently process international orders in our online store. If you have a special inquiry, contact us and we'll review it case by case.
Returns
What is your return policy?
Coffee is a perishable product and we don't accept returns based on taste preference or brewing method. If you receive a damaged product or one with a quality or packaging defect, contact us and we'll review it.
What if the coffee doesn't meet my expectations?
Write to us with context about how you brewed it: method, grind, water, and ratio. We care about understanding what happened. Replacements apply when there's a quality or product issue, not personal preference.
Wholesale
Do you work with cafés, restaurants, and retailers?
Yes. We have a wholesale program for spaces that want to serve coffee with traceable origin and small batches. Learn more on our wholesale page.
What is the minimum order quantity?
Minimum orders depend on the type of partnership and volume you need. Reach out through our wholesale form and we'll share specific terms.
Do you offer samples before a bulk order?
Yes, we can coordinate samples to evaluate quality before a recurring order. Request them through our wholesale form.
Can you customize the roast profile for my business?
For wholesale partners we can work on roast profiles based on your extraction method and audience. Tell us what you're looking for and we'll review it together.
Subscriptions & account
Do you offer a coffee subscription?
We're building a subscription model around traceable Colombian coffees and small batches. It's on the way — visit subscriptions or contact us for updates.
